Four Persons Had Been Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Van Collision

Four persons had been injured and hospitalized after the Two vans they were travelling in

colliding with each other and toppled over the Chilaw-Colombo main road at Madampe City this morning (05).

The injured had been admitted to the Chilaw Base Hospital for treatment and their condition is not serious according to reports.The injured are residents of Kilinochchi District it has been revealed.

Two Persons Arrested With 110 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin

Officers attached to Anti Narcotic Unit

of Excise Department have today (05)arrested two persons with 110 Kilo Grammes of Heroin at Wellawatta and Piliyandala areas .

The haul of Heroin taken in to custody had been stored in 1 Kilo gramme each in 110 bags and hidden inside a house in Piliyandala area it has been reported.

The officers have arrested the two suspects whilst transporting a haul of Heroin at Wellawatta and the hidden stock of Heroin had been recovered  accordance  the information provided by them .

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken in to custody is more than Rs.1100 million it has been revealed .

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Vehicle Collision At Ratnapura

A 47 year old Motorcyclist had been

killed after the Motorcycle he was riding in colliding with few vehicles including a Jeep arrived in front at Ratnapura New Town yesterday.

The critically injured Motorcyclist had succumbed  to his injuries after admission to the Ratnapura Teaching Hospital .

The incident occurred when the Motorcyclist had attempted to over take few vehicles it has been revealed.

Ratnapura Police have arrested a Jeep driver over the incident.
