Arjun Aloysius And Kasun Palisena Had Been Further Remanded

Colombo Fort Magistrate Court has
yesterday (18)ordered to Remand The owner of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited Arjun Aloysius and Chief Executive Officer  (CEO) Kasun Palisena who are in remand over the Charges levelled against them on Central Bank Bond Scam, further until 01st of January.

The two suspects had been further remanded after being  produced before the court yesterday .

Transport activities of Mahiyanganaya -
Badulla road have been disrupted since yesterday (18)due to the continuous falling of Soil Mounds to the road as a result of rainy weather prevailing in it has been reported.

Soil Mounds had fallen in  to the road near Madithale Junction of Mahiyanganaya -Badulla road it has been revealed.

SLFP Central. Committee Approved President's Statement On Not To Offer Ministerial Posts To SLFP MP's Crossed Over To Government

Central Committee of the Sri Lanka
Freedom Party (SLFP)has yesterday accepted a statement made by President Maithripala Sirisena on not to offer Ministerial posts for those who had crossed over to the United National Front government.

Three SLFP MP's have crossed over to the Government yesterday (18)during parliamentary proceedings and three others had joined UNF after President has ousted Premier Ranil Wikramasinghe from his post last October.

The remain 21 SLFP MP's have decided to sit on opposition bench it has been announced by the party .

UNF has meanwhile announced that several other SLFP MP's are currently engaging in talks with the party to join the government.

UNF has already submitted a list of 30 member Cabinet going to be appointed to the President it has been reported.

Meanwhile Parliament which convened yesterday (18)had adjourned until 1 p.m this evening  (19).

Pigeon Island To Closed Down Temporarily


Wild Life Conservation Department has decided to temporarily closed down the Pigeon Island  (Parevi Dupath) National Wild Life Park due to the rough conditions prevailing in Neelaveli Seas in Trincomalee as a result of North Eastern monsoon rain .

This step has been taken to protect the security of  Tourists the Department has stressed. Wild Life Conservation Department has requested the Tourists to follow the advise issued by the Department.
