President Maithripala Sirisena To Request Chief Justice To Deliver The Verdict Regarding Dissolving Parliament Without Delay-MP Weerawansha

President Maithripala Sirisena is
scheduled to be requested the Chief Justice Nalin Perera to deliver  the Supreme Court's verdict on the Gazette Notification issued by the President Regarding dissolving parliament without a delay according to MP Wimal Weerawansha.

The verdict delivered by the Court of Appeal suspending the former appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe and his Cabinet from functioning was the first such verdict in the world History MP Weerawansha has told the media during a press briefing held in Colombo today (10).

Leaders of Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Sri Lanka People's Progressive Front  (Pohottuwa symbol) have decided to contest a future Election under a common Alliance lead by President Sirisena during a discussion held between two Party leaders at Presidential Secretariet yesterday (09)oya has been revealed .

Former appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe too attended the Meeting.



Six Persons Had Been Injured Due To A Gun Shooting Incident In Modara

Six persons including two females who
were travelling in two  Three Wheelers  had been injured ,one of them critically and hospitalized due to a gun shooting incident near royal Garden housing complex at New Road, Modara- Colombo this evening  (10).

The injured had been admitted to Colombo National Hospital for treatment. Two unidentified Gunmen who had arrived in from a Motorcycle had fired  25 gun shots towards the injured by using T-56 firearm and fled away from the scene according to reports .

The group of persons had faced this incident whilst on the way home after attending a legal case hearing  related to drugs held in Colombo Magistrate Court it has been revealed .

A younger sister and brother in law of an underworld gang member who had been shot and killed two years back at Mattakkuliya area were among the injured of today's shooting it had been reported .

An underworld gang member Prasad Ruwan allias "Kudu Roshan " has been behind this shooting incident sources said.

UNP To Hold Largest Protest Campaign In History

United National Party (UNP ) to hold a qmassive protest with participation of 2kLaks of supporters on this Thursday  (13) in Colombo against Anti Democratic forces according to UNP Parliamentarian Ajith. P.Perera has stated today (09).

This will be the largest protest campaign ever hold in Colombo behalf of Democracy he has stressed during a press briefing held in Colombo.

A Youth Was Arrested With A Haul Of "Ice"Narcotic

A 26 year old Person had been arrested by the Colombo Central Divisional Law Enforcement Unit Officers whilst transporting 109.76 Grammes of dangerous Narcotic "Ice " in a Motor Car at Abeysingharama Road in Maradana yesterday (08).

The suspect who is a resident of Dematagoda area is due to be produced before Maligakanda Magistrate Court .

Two Persons Arrested With 13 Firearms And 1500 Bullets

Police officers attached to Law Enforcement Unit of the Mathugama Police Division have arrested two persons with 13 firearms and 1500 live bullets in possession illegally  at a house in Paththekade  ,Beruwala and BaduraLiya area.

The two suspects had been arrested at BaduraLiya area whilst transporting a firearm and few bullets in a Motor Car and later when the officers raided the house of a one suspect at Beruwala who is  a Gem businessman   the remained firearms and bullets  have been recovered .

Among the fire arms taken in to custody there were automatic firearms manufactured in Pakistan and Firearms use to provide security to VIP's  it has been revealed .

A 25 Month Old Child Died After Consuming Pressure Tablets

A 25 month old infant has died after
consuming Blood Pressure tablets prescribed for his mother mistakenly at Samoda gama ,Hambanthota it has been revealed during a post mortem held today (09)at Hambanthota General Hospital regarding the infant's death.

Hambanthota Police are conducting further investigations over the incident.
