President Sirisena Has Said He Had Appointed New Prime Mimister Accotding To The Constitution

President Maithripala Sirisena who had
addressed the nation this Evening  (28)through Electronic media has said that he has been rejected the allegations saying appointing new prime minister has done by violating the Constitution .

The appointment of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe had done according to the Constitution after consulting with legal experts he has said.

President has also said during his speech that Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has been removed from the post as he had destroyed the good governance concept and opposing many of the decisions he is due to implement.

There's a difference between him and Premier Wikramasinghe regarding policy  and cultural matters President Sirisena has said .Due to this situation he has no other alternative than inviting former President Rajapakshe to accept Prime Minister's post he says.

He even stressed that members of United National Party  (UNP)should find a new leader to the party and had requested the  225 members of the Parliament to join the new government .

Meanwhile the General Secretary of the United National Party ,Mimister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has denied the allegations made by the  President from his speech .


A Person Was Killed And Two Others Injured Due To A Gun Shooting At Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Headquarters

An employee of the Ceylon Petroleum
Corporation Headquarters (CPC)at Dematagoda was killed and two others had been injured and hospitalized after a Security Officer of Minister of Petroleum Resources Development Arjuna Ranathunge had shot them after the employees of CPC had locked the Minister inside of his office and not allowed him to come out this evening  (28).

The three  injured persons had been admitted to Colombo National Hospital where one had succumbed to his injuries it has been reported Out of the two injured persons the condition of one person is critical it has been revealed.

The security Officer of Minister Ranathunge who is a Special Police Task Force Personal had been arrested over the incident.

The incident occurred when Minister had arrived at his office in CPC Headquarters to collect something in his office and suddenly a group of employees there surrounded him and blocked his path according to reports.Then the employees locked him inside his office and even attempted to remove his sarong sources said.

After the incident Riot Police and special Police Task Force Personal had arrived at the scene and control the situation. The road near the flyover bridge had been closed due to the incident .

Twenty One Persons Injured Due To Bus- Container Truck Collision

Twenty one persons had been injured
and hospitalized after a Private Bus colliding with a Container Truck at Monaratenna area in Polonnaruwa-Batticaloa main road this morning  (28).

The injured had been admitted to the Polonnaruwa and Welikanda Hospitals for treatment .

The critically injured drivers of the Bus and the Truck had been Transferred to Polonnaruwa Hospital from Welikanda Hospital for further treatment.

The incident occurred when the Private Bus travelling from Katuwanwila to Polonnaruwa had collided with a Container Truck travelling from Polonnaruwa to Batticaloa .

Two Pakistani Nationals Had Been Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin

Two Pakistani Nationals had been
arrested with around 891 Grammes of Heroin in their possession at sea side area  in Colpetty last night (27)by the officers attached to Criminal Investigations Department (CID)and Police Narcotic Bureau .

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken in to custody in possession of the two suspects is more than Rs.ten million it has been revealed.

The suspects who are 28 and 36 year old Pakistani Nationals are due to be produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate Court today (28).
