The Horana Rubber Factory Which Caused Five Deaths Will Be Closed Over Environmental Issues-Western Province Chief Minister

The Rubber Manufacturing Factory at Ballapitiya,Horana which caused the five deaths as a result of falling to a Ammonia Tank of the Factory ,will be closed over maintaining the factory by causing damage to the environment and without obtaining the environment license from the Horana Pradeshiya Sabha,The Chief Minister of the Western Provincial Council Isura Devapriya has said today(20).

The Chief Minister has stated on this during the  observation visit he made today in the factory premises.

Meanwhile the Manager of the Factory arrested by the Horana Police over the five deaths occurred due to the Ammonia Tank attached to the factory ,has been remanded until 25th of April by the Horana Magistrate Court today(20).

INTERPOL Issued Red Warrant To Arrest Former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran

The International Police(INTERPOL) had today (20) issued Red Warrant to arrest the chief suspect of the Central Bank Bond scam ,The former governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendren .

Image result for interpolAlthough Court orders were issued twice to him to appear before the court over the charges leveled against him ,The former Central Bank governor had not appear before the court accordingly.In an earlier occasion too court has ordered the authorities to issue Red Warrant to arrest him however due to lack of details provided in this regard to the INTERPOL ,the warrant was  not issued as required.

Red warrant was issued to arrest Arjun Mahendren in view of producing him before the court regarding the bond scam inquiry conducted by the Criminal Investigations Department(CID).

All The Three Wheelers To Have A Meter With Bill Issuing Facility With Effect From Today (20)

All the Three Wheeler's that are currently running in the roads in Sri Lanka should have a meter with a bill issuing facility with effect from today(20) according to the National Council Of Road Safety Dr.Sisira Kodagoda.

The six month period given to the Three Wheeler Drivers to fix a Meter to their Three Wheeler's with bill issuing facility  has ended 01st of April and those Three Wheeler drivers who are not able to issue a bill to their customers after a journey  will be punished he has stated.

However even today many Three Wheeler's have seen in the roads that are running without meters it has been reported.
