A House Owner Had Been Arrested With 75 Foreign Liquor Bottlles At His House In Nainamadama

Image result for arrestedWennappuwa Police have today (25) arrested an owner of a house in Nainamadama,Wennappuwa with 75 Foreign made Liquor Bottles he kept in possession without a valid license .
Police have raided the House as per a search warrant issue by Marawila Court to search the house.
However during the investigations it has been revealed that the arrested House owner kept a collection of Foreign Liquor Bottles given to him by his relatives and friends since some time.

The value of the Liquor Bottles taken into custody by the Police during the raid is around Rs.1 million it has been revealed.

President Maithripala Sirisena Has Arrived In Qatar For A Two Day Official Visit

Image result for qatarPresident Maithripala Sirisena had arrived in Hamad International Airport in Doha,Qatar last night(24) for a two day official tour .

President had left Qatar yesterday from Colombo as per an invitation made by the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and scheduled to hold bi lateral talks with the Emir and Prime Minister there.
President is also due to meet Business Community in Qatar this evening and to participate a get together to meet  Sri Lankan Community in Qatar.

Court Has Rejected The Request Made By Arjun Aloysius To Travel Abroad

Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne  has today(25) rejected the request made by the main suspect of   Central Bank Bond Scam and director of Perpetual Treasuries Arjun Aloysius to travel  to Singapore  .

Arjun Aloysius had made the foreign tour request through a motion submitted to the court by an Attorney At Law and the Colombo Fort Magistrate has rejected the motion   as He is the main suspect of the Central Bank Bond Scam and still not produced before the court as the suspect of the scam.

The court had imposed a travel ban on three other persons attached to the Perpetual Treasuries including it's  Chief Executive Officer   Kasun Palihena .
