Former DIG Lalith Jayasinghe Arrested Over Giving Police Protection To A Criminal Released On Bail

The former Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG)
Lalith jayasinghe who had arrested yesterday (25)over giving police protection to a former Deputy Minister premalal jayasekare who is charged on a murder ,had been released on bail last evening after produced him before the palmadulla magistrate court.

The suspected former DIG who is also charged for releasing the main suspect of the rape and murder of jaffna school girl vidya ,had been earlier released on conditional bail on that case. 

Notices Were Issued To Three Officials Including Attorney General To Appear Before The Court

Colombo high court has yesterday (25)issued notices to
Attorney General,Maradana Police OIC and the OIC of Colombo crimes division to appear before the court on 02nd of October as the respondents of the bail application submitted to the court by imprisoned convener of the Medical faculty students action committee Ryan Jayathilake.

The notices were issued when the bail application submitted by the imprisoned Ryan Jayathilake who is in prison over forcibly entering the Health Ministry and damaged it's properties was taken into consideration before the High Court judge A.A.R Heyyanthuduwa yesterday,

Six navy soldiers including the former Navy media
spokesman Commadore D.K.P Dassanayake remanded over abduction and disappearance of 11 youths in 2008-2009 period had been further remanded until 09th of October by the Colombo fort magistrate yesterday (25).

The six suspects had been produced before the magistrate yesterday when the case filed against them was heard.

Authorities Have Decided To Implement Transfer of Acting MOIC In Welikade Prison Hospital-Doctors Have Suspended The Strike

The doctors attached to the Welikada prisons hospital
who are in strike since last week by opposing the non implementation of the transfer of controversial acting Medical officer in charge of the Hospital Dr.Nirmali Thenuwara have decided to suspend their strike action today (25)after Health authorities have pledged to implement the transfer of Dr.Thenuwara .

Due to the strike launched  by the doctors of Welikada Prison hospital ,the patient prisoners of the hospital didnt recieve any medicine since a week it has been reported.
