Tax Concession Only Apply To Japanese Motorcycles-Finance Ministry

The tax concession granted  to Imported Motorcycles

 apply to Imported Japanese Motorcycles only not to the Indian Motorcycles according to the Ministry of Finance.

It has been decided to grant tax concession for imported Japanese Motorcycles in view of creating a Japanese Motorcycle market in the country Ministry has stated.

A Youth Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Bus Collision

A youth Motorcyclist was killed after the Motorcycle

he was travelling in colliding with a bus transporting garment factory workers at miriswatte in Kosgoda area early this morning (18).

The 19 year old youth Motorcyclist who received critical head injuries had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Balapitiya Base Hospital.The deceased was a resident of wathurawela in mirisswatte area.

Kosgoda police have arrested the Bus driver regarding the accident.

Heavy Traffic Reported From Town Hall Due To A Protest March

A heavy traffic has been reported from roads in and around Town Hall area this evening(18) due to a protest march titles "Dark Two Year"(Musala Dewasara) by the Joint Opposition .

Colombo Additional Magsitrate Ordered The FCID To Use Police Powers Against MP Namal Rajapakshe

Colombo Additional Magistrate has today(18) ordered the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division(FCID) to act by using police powers against MP Namal Rajapakshe the eldest son of former president Mahinda Rajapakshe over threatening one of the officials of the FCID .

Colombo Additional Magistrate Chandana Kalangsuriya has issued the order after rejecting a request made by FCID to issue MP Namal Rajapakshe to appear before the court and make a statement regarding the incident .

MP Namal had been accused over threatening an officer of FCID during the arrival of one of his brothers to make a statement regarding allegations leveled against him at FCID.
