More Than 70 Persons Including School Children Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Bus Accident In Agarapathana

Over  70 persons mostly School Children were injured and hospitalized this morning following the Private Bus they were traveling in fallen a deep narrow valley at Agarapathana area(Central Province).

The injured were admitted  to the Agarapathana Base Hospital and most of the injured were discharged later as they have received minor injuries it has been reported.

The bus driver and five adults too there among the injured according to sources.

The accident has occurred as a Result of a technical difficulty of the Bus the sources have stated.

Police Special Task Force Personal Had Arrested Three Persons Involved In Illicit Liquor Trade

Police Special Task Force personal had arrested three persons who are involved in illicit liquor trade at Aranayake,Debathgama area and taken in to custody 27,000 liters of illicit liquor,453,000 mili liters of Goda ,A copper coyl and A Gas Cooker from the illicit liquor factory.

The three suspects who are residents in Pallegama Area are due to be produced before the Mawanella Magistrate Court.Aranayake Police Are conducting an investigations on the incident.

Inflammable Liquid May Be The Cause For The Fire At Eppawela Phosphate Factory-Government Analyst's Department

The report issued by the Government Analyst's Department on the fire erupted at state owned  Eppawela Phosphate Factory on 21st of July has stated that the natural causes will not cause the fire at the factory and using of inflammable liquid may be the cause behind it.

The fire that erupted at the factory had destroyed the section of the building which the accounting,supply and documenting divisions located.

However after the fire had erupted the chairman of the Eppawala Phosphate Factory has dismissed the allegations that a conspiracy is behind the fire.

A Body Of An Unidentified Male Has Been Recovered Near Nuwara Tank

The Anuradhapura Police have today (09) recovered a body of an unidentified male near the Nuwara Tank in Anuradhapura(North Central Province) .

The body of the deceased has been sent to the Anuradhapura  General Hospital for  a autopsy the police have stated.Anuradhapura Police are investigating on the incident.
