Customs Officers Have Detained A Stock Of Narcotic Drugs Believed To Be Cocaine At Orugodawatte Container Yard

The Customs Officers attached to Orugodawatte Container Yard  have been recovered a stock of narcotic drugs believed to be Cocaine stored inside of a container  which arrived from Brazil it has been reported.

The stock of narcotic drugs which wrapped in three bags and stored inside the container weighed 91 kilo grammes and the value of the stock not yet been estimated.

Sri Lanka Customs Officers had handed over the drug stock to Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigations.


Due To A Continuos Strike Launched By Several Postal Trade Unions Services Of Many Post Offices Paralyzed

Several Postal Unions who are organizing the strike had launched the continuous strike  by demanding solutions for 14 of their service demands including implementing a proper procedure to recruitment to the service.

A Severe Shortage Of Vegetables Occurred In Dambulla Economic Center

A Severe Shortage of vegetables occurred at Dambulla Economic Center these day as a result of not receiving enough amount of vegetables to the Center it has been reported.

The adverse weather conditions prevailed in the country during past few days has caused this situation it has been reported.

At the moment the prices of vegetables stands as Rs.100-180  per kilo gramme.

Colombo High Court Temporarily Suspended The Bail Order Granted To Former Additional Magistarte Thilian Gamage

Image result for court orderThe Colombo High Court has today(13) temporarily suspended the bail order granted to former Colombo Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage over keeping a baby elephant in his possession without a valid permit.

The court order regarding the suspension to former Colombo Additional Magistrate Gamage was issued to him considering the  revised application filed by Attorney General.The Revised Application Sought to annul the Gangodawila Magistrate's bail order and order to remand former Additional Magistrate over charges against him.

The former Additional Magistrate  was released on bail by Gangodawila Magistrate on 02nd of June after he was surrendered to the court.
