A Youth Was Injured Due To A Gun Fire At Wellawaya

A Youth was injured and hospitalized due to a shooting incident following a clash between two groups at Aluthwela Area in Wellawaya today(11) it has been reported.

Image result for sri lanka police logoThe Clash has occurred on dispute over a love affair and as a result a 22 year old youth was inured due to a gun fire and admitted to Embilipitiya Hospital according to Wellawaya Police.

Wellawaya Police have detained the suspect involved in the shooting and he is due to be produced before Wellawaya Magistrate.

CID Has Begun Recording Statements From Witnesses Of Salawa Army Camp Fire

Image result for salawa army camp fireThe Criminal Investigations Department(CID)has begun recording statements from Witnesses regrading the explosion and fire occurred at Army Camp in Salawa-Kosgama according to sources.

So far over 40 Army Officers who were on the  duty at Army Camp when the explosion has occurred given statements regarding the incident sources have stated.

Besides the CID Investigations an Investigation Team attached to Ministry Of Defense appointed by Army Commander is also investigating on the incident.

Due to the Army Camp explosion and fire one Army Soldier was killed and Seven civilians  injured and many houses in Salawa Area had been destroyed .

Image result for sri lanka courtThe former Crimes OIC of the Narahenpita Police who is currently in remand custody over hiding information of the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugger Player Wasim Thajudeen has today(10) given a confidential statement to Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris regarding the murder case it has been reported.

The former Crimes OIC of Narahenpita Police Sumith Perera has given the statement while there's no one else present  in the court house.

All Schools At Salawa-Kosgama Area Which Closed Due To Army Camp Fire Due To Reopen On Monday

All schools in Salawa-Kosgama area which closed due to the explosion and fire occurred in Salawa Army Camp is due to reopen on Next Monday(13) the government has announced today(10).

The Government has decided to provide free school uniforms to those who are affected due to Salawa Army Camp fire.An allowance of Rs.50,000 too due to be provided for owners of houses which were severely damaged due to fire it has been stated.

The Troops have already begun the reconstruction process of damaged properties and cleaning water resources in salawa area which affected by the fire.
