Sri Lanka Army And Other Troops Commenced The Reconstruction Process Of Damaged Properties Near Burnt Salawa Army Camp

Image result for salawa army camp destroyed housesSri Lanka Army have commenced the reconstruction process of the damaged private properties near Burnt Salawa Army Camp in Kosgama area today(08) including renovation of damaged houses,cleaning the polluted water resources and removing debris.

The reconstruction process has begun by Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers,Sri Lanka Engineers ,Troops Of the Corps Of Engineers with the assistance of Sri Lanka Navy,Police and Special Task Force it has been reported.

Sri Lanka Army have deployed two teams to estimate the values of damaged properties and vehicles due to Army Camp Fire  separately.

Supreme Court Has Rejected Fundamental Rights Petition Filed By Former Minister Basil Rajapakshe

Image result for supreme court sri lankaThe supreme court has today(08) rejected the fundamental rights petition filed by former minister of economic development Basil Rajapakshe seeking an order to prevent his possible arrest regarding allegations leveled against him.

The former minister has  filed the petition last month by claiming that the  financial crimes investigations division(FCID) is planning to arrest him over money laundering charges leveled against him.

Out Of Those Suffering From Mental Disorders In Sri Lanka Only 20% Receiving Treatment-Health Minister

Image result for mental disordersIn Sri Lanka out of those who are suffering from mental disorders  only 20% receiving treatment according to the Minister Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.

Addressing the 13th annual sessions of the Collage of Psychiatrists held in Colombo recently the Health Minister has stated that one person out of every ten persons in Sri Lanka is suffering from some kind of mental disorder and the reasons behind these mental disorders are complex.

Due to the Tsunami Disaster in 2004 and the war in north and east the mental health status of most of the people have been deteriorated and an active action plan needed to be implemented to solve this situation Minister Senaratne has further added.
