Investigations Regarding Chavakachcheri Raid Has Been Handed Over To Terrorist Investigation Division

The investigations regarding the explosives recovered  from a house in Chavakachcheri yesterday(30) has been handed over to the Terrorist Investigation Division according to the government.

The Chavakachcheri Police had recovered a suicide jacket,a stock of explosives and ammunition from a house in chavakachcheri yesterday(30) and the house owner was later arrested at Kilinochchi.

Former Minister G.L Pieris To Be Questioned By Police Over His Claim On Explosives Found In Chavakachcheri

The former Minister G.L Pieris is due to be questioned by the Police regarding the claim he has made that the Suicide Jacket and a stock of explosives and ammunition's found from a House in Chavakachcheri (In Northern Province)yesterday (30) are to be bring back to Wellawatta(In Colombo) for a high profile attack according Defense Secretary Karunasena Hettiarachchi.

Although Former Minister Pieris has claimed such a claim it will not be possible to do that due to the steps that taken to strengthen the national security of the country

Imprisoned Font Line Socialist Party Member Kumar Gunarathnam Has Been Sentenced To One Year Imprisonment

The imprisoned Political Bureau Member of Front line Socialist Party Kumar Gunaratnam has been sentenced to one year imprisonment today(31) by the Kegalle Magistrate Court.

Gunaratnam who is currently in remand over allegedly violating visa regulations was also imposed a fine of Rs.50,000  it has been reported.

Kumar Gunaratnam had arrived in Sri Lanka on a 30 day tourist visa just days before the last year's presidential election and charged for over staying in Sri Lanka after the expiration of his visa.

Cecile Kothalawala Who Was Remanded Over Misappropriation Of Public Investments Has Been Released On Bail

Cecile Kothalawala the wife of former Sri Lankan Business Tycoon Lalith Kothalawala who was remanded over misappropriation of Rs.26 Billion worth Public Investments   belonging to Golden Key Credit Company has been released on bail today(31) by the Colombo High Court.

Cecile Kothalawala has been released on two personal bails of Rs.1 Million each and a cash bail of Rs.100,000 it has been reported.

The director of the failed Golden Key Credit Card Company she was evading courts since years after Sri Lankan Court has issued an arrest Warren t against her ,However the Immigration And Emigration Officials had arrested her on arrival in Sri Lanka on 05th of February at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Air Port.
