Director General Of Health Services Appointed A Committee To Probe On A Salary Fraud Occurred In Matara Hospital

The Director General Of Health Services Dr.Palitha Mahipala has appointed a two member committee to investigate on salary fraud case occurred at Matara General Hospital (In Southern Province)involved by 150 Minor Staff Workers of the Hospital.

According to the Hospital Management of the Matara Hospital around 150 Minor Staff Workers attached to the Hospital had received  their monthly salary by only attending few days of the year for work during past few years. the above mentioned minor staff workers only attended the work of the hospital  few days prior to the salary day in every month  it has been revealed .

The Director General of Health Services has instructed the appointed committee to submit a report of the investigation to him  in few days time.

Eleven Persons Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Bus-Lorry Collision At Kahawatte

Image result for accident graphicEleven Persons were injured and hospitalized due to a Bus-Lorry collision occurred at Kahawatte(In Ratnapura District) on Ratnapura-Palmadulla Main Road yesterday(02).

The injured were admitted to the Ratnapura General Hospital and the condition of two of the injured are critical according to sources.

The Kahawatte Police have arrested the drivers of both Bus and the Lorry which involved in the accident .

Prices Of Fuel In Sri Lanka Will Never Goes Down Even Through A Price Mechanism-Minister Weerakkody

The  Prices of Fuel in Sri Lanka will never goes down even if a  new price mechanism is introduced   the Minister Of Petroleum Resources Development  Chandima Werakkody has said.

However the new price mechanism prepared to control the prices of Fuel in local market  has already submitted to the Cabinet for approval the Minister has stated.

Government is planning to recover the loss occurred  through selling fuel in the local market during  recent years  he has further said.

There Is No Tsunami Threat To Sri Lanka Due To The Powerful Indonesian Earthquake Occurred Yesterday(02)

indonesia-earthquake-1.jpgThere is no Tsunami threat to Sri Lanka due to a 7.8 Magnitude powerful  Earthquake which  strucked off the coast of Western Indonesia last evening according to Disaster Management Center in Sri Lanka and Meteorology Department.

Following the Earthquake which strucked at South West of the Indonesian City Padang,Indonesian Authorities have issued Tsunami Warning  to the regions of North Sumathra,West Sumathra and Aceh while Australia had issued Tsunami Warning to Cocos and Christmas Islands in the Pacific.
