President Sirisena Has Said After 43 Years Germany Has Invited A Sri Lankan Head Of State To Visit That Country

President Maithripala Sirisena has said today(17) he has been invited for an official visit to Germany ,The first for a Sri Lankan Head Of State after more than four decades.

This is the first time the German Government has officially invited a Sri Lankan Head Of State to visit their country after 43 years the President has stated.

There is a competition among the International Community to help the development activities in Sri Lanka and the Middle Path and the better governance which Sri Lanka has  adapted in their foreign policy  is the main cause for this Sri Lankan President has stressed.

With the help of friendly countries the Government will make 2016 as a year of Transformation Development of Sri Lanka President Sirisena has made these remarks after ceremonially commencing the Five Year District Development Programme "Pibidemu Polonnaruwa"(In North Central Province) today(17).

Sri Lankan Air Port Custom Officers Have Arrested A Sri Lankan With A Stock Of Expensive Wallapatta At Katunayake Air Port

Sri Lankan Air Port Custom Officers have arrested a 33 year old Sri Lankan few hours ago with a stock of Wallapatta(which is used to make expensive perfumes) weighing 23 Kilos and 400 Grammes in his possession when he attempted to smuggle it to Abudhabi .

The stock of Wallapatta carried by the suspect is worth Rs.9,360,000 according to the Custom Officers.

British Government will welcome the government led changes without influencing or pressurizing government's efforts The State Minister Swire has said during a press briefing held in Colombo yesterday(16).

Britain will assist Sri Lanka in future too and it will assist especially if the government make any effort to amend the Prevention Of Terrorism Act(PTA) the Minister has further said.
