Police Have Filed Court Cases Against 420 Drunken Drivers From 23-27 th Of December
During the period 23rd to 27th of December ,The Police have filed Legal Cases in Courts against 420 Drunken Drivers according to reports.
During the raids carried out throughout the Island within 24 hour period from 6 a.m on 26th of December to 6 a.m on 27th of December Police have filed court cases against 114 Drunken Drivers the reports have stated.
Police have launched a special mission throughout the island from 23rd of December to minimize the Road Accidents.

Department Of Elections Has Been Posted Electoral Register-2015 Online
In view of enabling the local voters to check the latest Electoral Registration Details through internet ,The Electoral Register Of Sri Lanka-2015 Has been posted online according to Department Of Elections.
The Electoral Register -2015will also display the Grama Niladhari Divisions ,District Election Secretariat Offices ,Provincial Secretariats ,Post Offices and Local Government Establishment Election Department has said.
Voters can view the latest Electoral Register by accessing the Election Department Web Site www.slelections.gov.lk

Minister Of Health To Convene An Urgent Meeting Of Presidential Task Force On Dengue Control
The Minister Of Health ,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has decided to convene an urgent meeting of the Presidential Task Force On Dengue Control in early January to decide the new measures should be taken to control the Dengue Epidemic in the Country.
The decision to convene an urgent meeting of Dengue Task Force has been taken due to the increase of Dengue Patients reporting from the country according to Ministry Of Health.The Minister had already requested from President Maithripala Sirisene to give a date in early January to convene the Task Force Meeting the Ministry Sources said.
At the recently concluded Dengue Mosquito Control Week held in Western Province from 21st to 23rd of December ,Health Authorities have filed Legal Cases against owners of 521 Premises who had maintained dengue mosquito breeding places.
