German Car Manufacturer Volkswagen Company To Establish An Assembling Plant In Sri Lanka

Image result for volkswagen in sri lankaThe German Car Manufacturer  Volkswagen Company is due to establish an Assembling  Plant at Kuliyapitiya (In North Western Province) Area at a cost of US Dollars 265 Billion according to the Minister of Development Strategies And International Trade Malik Samarawikrame.

The Plant will create around 200 Job Opportunities for the locals the Minister has said today(19) at the Parliament.

The Volkswagen Agency in Sri Lankan had already purchased a selected land to establish the plant he has stressed.Within  next two years the Plant is due to commence it's operations.

While responding to a question raised by Opposition MP Udaya Gammanpila ,Prime Minister Ranil Wikramsinghe has said German Government has assured the Car Manufacturer Volkswagen has not suspended it's operations in Sri Lanka .

Third Reading Of The Budget Has Been Passed With Majority Of 109 Votes

The third reading of the Annual Budget-2016 has been passed today(19) with majority of 109 votes.At the vote 160 MP'S Voted  in favor of the Budget while 51 voted against it.

The  leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and several United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) MP's of the Joint Opposition had voted against the Budget .

MP's of the Tamil National Alliance(TNA),Leader of the EPDP Douglas Devananda ,Leader Of The Ceylon Workers Congress Arumugam Thondaman and UPFA MP Lakshman Seneviratne have been voted in favor of the Budget along with Governing United National Party(UNP) MP's and UPFA MP's belonging to the Government.

The Government  Service will not be scrapped at any cost according to Minister Of Public Administration And Management Ranjith Maddumabandara.

Current government has taken various steps to strengthen the government  service and has already recruited around 4000 graduates to the  Government Sector the Minister has said.

The Government is also aiming to recruit another batch of 5500 Graduates graduated from State Universities before 31st of March 2012 to the Government  Sector Minister has further said.
