Sri Lanka Will Stop Importing Food Items That Can Be Cultivated Here-President Sirisena

Within next three year period Sri Lanka will stop importing food items that can be cultivated here according to President Maithripala Sirisena.

He also said those lands not used for cultivation so far will be taken over to the government.

President has revealed this while addressing a National Food Production Programme held in Kilinochchchi Area(In Northern Province)

Former President's Personal Physician Has Given A Statement To FCID Regarding Allegation Leveled Against Him

The personal pysicican of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe ,Eliyantha Lindsay White has given a statement to Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division(FCID) this morning regarding the allegation leveled against him over the ownership of his house at Mirihana(In Colombo District).

The former president's personal physician who is also a healer and used herbs for treatment was  known as only treating for VIP' besides treating former president during the previous regime. 

Latest Suspect Arrested Over The Five Year Old Girl's Rape And Murder Case Committed He Has Done The Crime

The fourth suspect arrested on Last Saturday(03)regarding the rape and murder of five year old Seya Sadewmini of Kotadeniyawa Area has revealed he is responsible for rape and murder of the girl according to Criminal  Investigation Department(CID).

The CID has informed  Minuwangoda Magistrate this morning on the latest information revealed by  suspect who is also the elder brother of "Kondaya" who was arrested and remanded by CID a week ago after he has taken  responsibility of the crime .

After condifering the facts Minuwangoda Magistrate had ordered to remanded the elder brother of "Kondaya" until 19th of October."kondaya" who is the main suspect of the girl's murder was also remanded earlier until 19th of October.

Earlier first two suspects including 17 year old school boy who were arrested regarding murder of the girl have been released by Minuwangoda Magistrate after their DNA not matched the DNA found from girl's body.

The five year old Seya Sadewmini was found sexually molested and starngled to death near house in Kotadeniyawa Area on 13th of September a day after she was missing from her house.

Inspector General Of Police Had Transferred Six SSP'S With Immediatte Effect

The Inspector General Of Police N.K Ilangakoon (IGP) had transferred Six  Senior Police Officers (SSP'S)including two senior superintendents of Police with immediate effect.
