Eight MOU'S Were Signed Between Sri Lanka And Vietnam

Eight Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) were signed between Sri Lanka and Vietnam yesterday (14)at the Presidential Secretariat.These MOU'S were signed following the bi lateral talks between the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha and the visiting Vietnamese President Truong Tang Sang.

The MOU'S were signed on the fields of Foreign Affairs,Finance ,Defense,Industry and Commerce,Higher Education,Petroleum,Investment Promotion and Gas oil Sales according to the Government Sources.

Meanwhile The Visiting Vietnamese President is due to open the official Vietnamese Embassy in Colombo today(15)yesterday he was inaugurated the Vietnamese -Sri Lanka Business Forum and hold discussions with the Sri Lankan Minister of External Affairs Professor G.L Pieris.Vietnamese President is due to leave the country today.

Ministry Of Livestock Development Exploring The Possibilities On Exporting Condensed Milk

The Ministry of Livestock Development is looking for the possibility of exporting Condensed Milk to other countries the Ministry sources said.A  Condensed Milk  produced according to International Standards under the brand  name "Highland Milkmite" has already developed by the state owned Milko Limited in this purpose according to the sources.

The newly developed Condensed Milk is having a shelf life of Nine Months the Livestock Development Ministry has said.

Meanwhile The Milko Limited is planing to introduce a low calorie Ice Cream and  UHT Milk Pack which has a shelf life of on e month instead of the Pasteurized Milk Packs already in the Market with a shelf life of three days.
