Sports Mimisrer To Make An Appeal Against An Interim Order

Minister of Sports and Youth Roshan ranasinghe had decided to submit an appeal to the Supreme court on Monday (13) against the interim order issued by Court of Appeal this week against sacking Cricket board management .

The President of Sri Lanka Cricket Shammi De Silva has taken an interim order from Court of Appeal few days back against sacking Cricket board management and appointing an inrerim committee headed by Sri Lanka's former Cricket Captain Arjuna Ranatunge .Ministet Ranasinghe had decided to hire a group of private lawyers to make an appeal feom Supremecourt.

Landslide Warnings Issued To Eight Districts

The National Building Resesrch Organization (NBRO) had issued landslide warnings to 54 divisional secretariets belongs to 08 districts in the island last evening (10) due to the heavy showers prevailing in .

Accordingly landslide warnings had been issued to 54 divisional secretariets in 08 districts including Badulla,Colombo Hambanthota and colombo districts.

A Person Died And Three Others Had Fallen Sick After Consuming Liqour

A 38 year old person has died and three others including two females had fallen sick and hospitalized after consuming expensive liquor at a Birthday party held in a four storiedbuilding at Ethulkotte in Kotte area today (10).

Welikada Police are conducting an Inquiry over the incident and the Magistrate inquiry was conducted in this regard .

International Cricket Council Banned Sri Lanka

The International Cricket Council (ICC)has imposed a temporary ban on Sri Lanka over breach of rules it has been announced this evening (10).

ICC has today announced that Sri Lanka has been banned from participating all formats of Cricket with immediatte effect a day after Sri Lanka's Parliament unanimously approved a resolution requesting the corrupt Management of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board to leave office.

Meanwhile The Cricket website Cric info has been reported that the ICC has Banned Sri Lanka from participating all formats,of Cricket according to the suggestion made by the president of Sri Lanka Cricket Shammi Silva who is being charged over freaud and corruption .

Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe had sacked the Cricket Board management recently over corruption charges levelled against them by the Auditor General and the poor performance of Sri Lanka's National Cricket team in the ongoing ICC Men's World Cup.
