The Special Police Task Force(STF) Personal had arrested a female drug smuggler "Kudu Nilanthi" with 20.5 grammes of "ICE" narcotic in her possesion at Grandpass (Colombo District) area yesterday(08).
The suspect is an accomplice for the drug lord of the area known as "Stace Road Dhanushka " according to the Police.
The Cinnamon Gardens Police had yesterday (08)arrested 26 persons belonged to two groups over clashing with each other on an ownership of a house,at Barnes place in Colombo -07.
Some of the members of the two groups who were clashed over the ownership of the house had fled away from the scene when police arrived But the police officers had managed to arrest them.According to the Police non of the arrestees had ownership of the house .
The 26 suspects were scheduled to be produced before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court.
Sri Lanka Navy have arrested 15 Indian fishermen along with the two fishing trawlers they were in whilst fishing illegally in Sri lankan waters near the Delft Island in Jaffna (Northern Sri Lanka) last night(08).
Navy officers had brought the 15 indian fishermen along with the two trawlers to Kankasanthurai harbor and handed over to the Mailadi Fisheries inspector for further investigations .
