Fuel Quota Issue For Vehicles To Be Increased

 The Fuel Quota issues for all the Vehicles  under the  National Fuel Pass QR System will be increased with effect from midnight this Tuesday (30) according to the Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekare .

Accordingly the Fuel Quota issues for a registered Taxi three wheeler will be increased to 22 liters per a week and other three wheelers  will recieve 14 liters per a week the Minister has stated.

A Motorcycle will receive 14 liters of Fuel  per a week and a Car will receive 40 liters of fuel per a week under the increased quota  system he had stated.

A Pilot Project On Cultivating Cannabies To Commence Soon

 An Expert Committee had approved a Proposal to commence a Pilot project on  cultivating  Cannabies for economic purposes  within the  Board of Investment (BOI) Zone  at Katunayake According to the State Minister of Investment Promotions Dilum Amunugama  .

the involvement of an investor  he had stated.

Deputy Principal Was Injured Due To A Gun Shooting

 One of the Deputy principals of the Dharmashoka Collage in Ambalangoda(Southern Province ) had been injured due to a gun shooting incident at Randombe area in Ambalangoda last morning  (26).

Two unidentifed gunmen arrived from a Motorcycle had opened fire towards the Deputy Principal who was riding his Motorcycle at the time of the incident according to the Ambalangoda Police.The injured who is a resident of Migettuwatte in Balapitiya area and the son in law of a gang leader Kosgoda Suji had ridden the Motorcycle to the Police amidst injuries it has been revealed.

The cause behind the incident has not yet been revealed .

A Person Was Arrested With A Stock Of Ileagally Imported Chocolates

 The Officers Attached to the Gampaha District Investigations Unit of the Consumer  Affairs Authority had arrested a person impossession of a stock of   Chocolates imported ileagally  at a house in Negambo Area  yesterday(26).

The stock of  Chocolates taken into       

was  worth  Rs.5  million it has been reported.The suspect is due to be produced before Negambo Magistrate  Court .
