 Nine persons including four females were injured and hospitalized following a gun shooting incident occurred at a storage facility near the Gate -06 0f Colombo Harbor last night (01) according to the Police ,

The incident occurred when the security officers at the storage facility which comes under the expressway that is being constructed through the Colombo harbor, had opened fire at group of Men and women who had attempted to forcibly enter the storage facility to rob it's property,The Police had stated,e

The security officers at the storage facility had fired gun shots towards the five men and four females who had attempted to enter the facility and assault the security officers at the facility and grab their fire arms it has been revealed .The injured were admitted to the Colombo National hospital for treatment .All the injured are residents of Blemendhal Road ,Colombo -13 the Police had stated ,

School Transport Fares To Be Reduced

The exact amount of School children transport fares going to reduce cannot be revealed the Union has stated .The Union had requested all School vans to reduce their fares according to the fuel price reduction.

School children transport fares will be reduced due to the reduction of fuel prices according to the All Ceylon School Children Transport Union.

LIOC Too Had Slashed Fuel Prices

 The Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC ) had also reduced the fuel prices similar to the that of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) the company has announced.

Accordingly the prices of Octane-92,Octane-95 Petrol ,White and Super Diesel had been slashed.

The May day rally organized by the United National party headed by President Ranil Wikramasinghe will be held at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium without the Participation of President .The May day rally of the Jathika Janabalawegaya party headed by leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP) will be held at Vihara Maha devi park in Colombo and the May day march  of the main opposition Samagi Janabalawegaya (SJB) party will be started from H .
