 A 17 year old Student was killed due to a wild  Elephant attack in wee hours of this morning (21) at Anuradhapura Town..The student was attacked by the Wild Elephant whilst traveling in a Motorcycle .Asian elephant - Wikipedia

The deceased was a resident of Thisawewa area it has been revealed .

A person Was Killed Due To A Bus Accident In Kilinochchi

Government Lifted Meat Transport Ban

 Government had lifted the ban imposed on transportation of Goat and Cattle Meat between provinces imposed  due to the sudden deaths of 1800 Cattle and Goats in North and Eastern provinces recently .


The ban was lifted after the tests carried out regarding the deaths of Cattle and Goats revealed those deaths occurred due to the cold weather exoerienced in North and Eastern provinces the  President's  Media Unit has stated .
