A Ship Carrying 40,000 Metric Tons Of Urea Fertilizer Had Arrived In Colombo

 A ship carrying 40,000 metric tons of Urea fertilizer had arrived in Colombo Harbor yesterday (10) and it was handed over to the Sri Lankan government by the Indian High Commissioner in Sri  Lanka Gopal Baglay  .


The unloading of this stock of Urea is currently underway and from tomorrow (12) the stock will be distributed among farmers throughout the island it has been reported ,

The quality of this stock of Urea had been tested by three International laboratories and confirmed as in good quality  before being unloaded , 

President Gotabhaya Rajpakshe Is Still In The Country -Speaker

 Speaker Mahinda Yapa Aneywardane had today (11) stated that the President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe us still in the country and he didn't fled the country .



"I have mistakenly told to a Foreign media agency that the President is currently in another country and it's wrong.. President is still in the country "Speaker   he had stressed .,

Litro Gas Prices Up By Rs.50- Distribution Of Gas Cylinders Had Commenced Today (11)

 Litro Gas had increased the Price of it's 12.5 Kilo Gramme LP Gas Cylinder by Rs.,50 the Litro Gas Company has announced. Accordingly the new Price of the  12.5 KG Litro Gas Cylinder will be Rs.4910 with effect from today (11).

A ship carrying 3700 metric tons oi Gas had arrived in Colombo Harbor yesterday (10) and the distribution of Gas cylinders in Colombo and it's suburbs had commenced today (11) the Company had stated ,It is expected to conclude the distribution of Gas cylinders in these areas by tomorrow (12) and the distribution process in outstation areas scheduled to be commenced on this Wednesday it has been announced,

Meanwhile to avoid making queues to collect Gas Cylinders in front of GAs selling outlets, Litro gas had  requested the public to bring the electricity bill they have received for the month of May .

President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe Had Confirmed His Resignation

 President Gotabaya Rajapakshe had confirmed that he will resign from his post on this Wednesday(13) as stated earlier the Prime Minister's office had announced..


According to the Prime Minister's office President Rajapakshe whose whereabouts are not known  since last Saturday (09) after the protesters stormed in to his official residence at Colombo Fort  had informed Prime Minister Ranil Wikramsinghe that  he will be resigned from his post as announced earlier ,

Meanwhile Party leaders have decided to accept nominations from Parliamentarians for the Executive President's post from this Friday (15) If the President Rajapakshe has resigned from his post as stated .Accepting nominations for presidency will be closed on next Tuesday Party leaders have announced ,

After accepting nominations new Executive President will be selected through a Parliament vote on next Wednesday or Thursday they have stated ,

LIOC had stopped issuing Fuel for it's fuel  stations on Saturday due to a request made by the government in view of the massive protest held against the president yesterday and scheduled to be resumed the issuing of fuel tomorrow .However the company had suddenly decided to issue Fuel from today .
