Former MP Hirunika Premachandre Along With A Group Of Females Protested In Front Of Premier's House

 Former Colombo District MP Hirunika Premachandre of the  Main opposition Samgijanabalawegaya (SJB) Party along with a group of females attached to the party had staged a protest campaign in front of the residence of Prime Minister Ranil Wikramsinghe in Flower Road ,Colombo 07 this morning accusing the premier for protecting the Rajapakshe regime amidst the economic crisis faced  by the country .

Although the Protesters had attempted to enter the residence area ,Police officers deployed there  had put barricades to prevent them from entering the residence, 

Customs Officers Taken In To Custody A Parcel Contains 13,640 Narcotic (ICE) Tablets

 Customs Officers attached to Colombo Central Mail Exchange had today (22) taken in to custody a Parcel received by the Mail Exchange from Netherlands containing 13,640 "Ice " (Methamphetamine ) tablets worth Rs.13.6 million .

The Parcel which contains narcotic tablets was addressed to a local individual and the Tablets were wrapped in seven bed sheets in the pack it has been revealed .As there was no one to claim the ownership of the parcel Customs Officers at the Central Mail Exchange had opened the Parcel and recovered the stock of Ice narcotic according to the sources.

The parcel was handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigations ,

 A person was killed due to a Wild Elephant attack occurred  at a School in Saliyapura ,Anuradhapura District (North Central Province) last evening (21) it has been reported ,

The Wild Elephant who  suddenly broke  into the Saliyapura Central Collage in Anuradhapura District had  attacked a 43 year old person to death there the Reports have stated ,

After this incident Parents in the area  are  afraid to send their  children to the school and as a result authorities have given a holiday for the school children in Saliayapura Collage today (22).The Wild Elephant who had killed a person is said to be at the village for the past  five years ,

IMF Delegation Had Arrived In Sri Lanka

 A ten ten rmember  delegation attached to the International Monetary Fund(IMF ) has arrived in Sri  Lanka today (20) to hold talks with Sri Lankan government officials regarding the easing of the current economic crisis faced by the country.

The visiting IMF Delegation led by it's senior operations chief Peter brewery is scheduled to stay in Sri Lanka for a ten-day period and hold talks with local counterparts regarding easing the current economic crisis in Sri  Lanka. 

The delegation held talks today (20) with Sri Lankan counterparts including premier Ranil wikramasinghe and Central bank governor Nandalal weerasinghe .Sri Lanka is seeking US Dollar 3 billion loan package from IMF it has been revealed,
