LIOC Had Increased The Prices Of All Varieties Of Petrol From Today (25)

 Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) had increased  prices of all varieties of Petrol  by Rs,49 per Liter with effect from midnight today (25) the Company has announced.


Accordingly price of  Octane -92 Petrol had been increased from Rs.254 to Rs.303 per a liter and Price of Octane-95 Petrol had been increased to Rs.332 per a liter LIOC had announced ,This is the second time in this month that the LIOC had increased prices of fuel due to the depreciation of Sri Lankan Rupee against US Dollar and Russia -Ukraine war ,

However the price of Diesel will remain unchanged according to the company ,LIOC had increased the prices of Petrol and Diesel by Rs.50 and Rs.75 per a liter on 10 th of March 

234 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (25)

 Another 234 Corona Positives had been reported today (25) In the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 660,633 according to Epidemiology Unit .


At the moment 7125 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated,

Transport Minister Suspended The Decision Taken To Increase Train Fares From Yesterday (13)

 Transport Minister Dilum Amunugama had suspended the decision taken by the Railway Authorities t


o increase train fares of long distance Special and Intercity Train services  with effect from last night (23).

Transport Minister had suspended the decision of increasing Train fares as the new increased train fares were announced before receiving Ministry approval .However the fares of Long distance Special trains and Intercity trains will be increased from next Monday (28) mainly to cover fuel cost the Minister has stressed .

Sri Lanka Navy Arrested 16 South Indian Fishermen

 Sri Lanka Navy had arrested 16 South Indian fishermen whilst they have  I legally  fishing in Sri Lankan shores at Kilinochhi-Iranathivu and Jaffna -Nedanthivu sea coastal areas in Northern Sri Lanka according to the Navy .


The arrested fishermen were handed over to t he fisheries department offices in Northern Sri Lanka for legal action it has been revealed .

 A total number of 248 Corona Positives had been reported today (24) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 660,399 according to Epidemiology Unit .


Accordingly 6938 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .637,011 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged up to now .
