Power Cuts Exceeding Five Hours To Be Implemented In The Island Tomorrow (25)

 There will be  further Island Wide power cuts scheduled to be implemented tomorrow (25) according to Public Utilities Commission .

Accordingly 4 hour and 40 minutes long Power cut will be implemented in the zones marked as A ,B and C  and 5 hours and 15 minutes long power cut will be implemented in other zones marked as P,Q,R,S,T,U,V and W the chairman of the Commission Janaka Ratnayake has announced.These power cuts will be implemented between 8.30 a.m to 10.30 p.m it has been announced.

30 Corona Deaths Reported Today (24)

 A total number of 30 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (24) increasing the total number of Corona deaths that had been reported so far to 16,116 according to the Director General OF Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 21 males and 09 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated, Out of the deceased 22 were over 60 years of age and 07 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .One of the deceased was under 30 years old . 

Another 1208 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (24)

Another 1208 Corona positives had been reported today(24) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 641,786 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 17,758 Corona positives are being treated in hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

A Person Was Injured Due To A Lorry-Train Collison

 A Driver of a small lorry had been injured and hospitalized after the lorry he has driven collided with a Train at a railway crossing near the Padukka -Wataraka Trains station of Kelanivalley Railway track this evening (23) it has been reported .

The incident had occurred when the lorry driver had attempted to cross over to Padukka -Meegoda road according to reports .The lorry was severely damaged due to the accident it has been revealed .
