A Total of 23 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (18) Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,949 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .
Accordingly 17 males and 06 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 15 were over 60 years of age and 08 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .
Another 1282 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (18) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 634,333 according to Epidemiology Unit ,
Accordingly 21,745 Corona positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .
Again the total number of daily PCR And Rapid Antigen Tests performed in the country had been reduced dramatically and according to the Health Ministry only 6436 PCR Tests and 2739 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (17) .
Meanwhile the number of Corona positives who need Oxygen to survive had been increased during the last week the Health Ministry has stated ,Also daily around 500 Corona positives are being registered to be self quarantined at home it has been revealed .
Due to the current power crisis Ceylon Electricity Board along with Public Utilities Commission had requested those consumers who are consuming electricity in large scale to use their own power generators in view of saving electricity ,Accordance to the Public Utilities Commission many large scale electricity consumers have responded to the request and began using the emergency power generators they have owned ,
