Former Media Spokesman Of LTTE Daya Master Had Been Sentenced A Suspended Imprisonment

 Vavuniya District Court Judge Manikkavasagar Ilanvelian has today (26) sentenced  the former media  spokesman of the LTTE Organization Velayudam dayanidhi allias Daya Master a two year imprisonment suspended  for a  five year period over the  charge levelled against him over using civilians as a human shield during the fighting erupted between Sri Lanka armed forces and LTTE rebels in 2009.


The case was filed against Daya master by the Attorney General in 2018 under the terrorism prevention act during  the good governance government .

Daya master who had worked for LTTE for a monthly salary had accepted that he was guilty for the charges levelled against him .

Another 16 Corona Deaths Were Reported Today(26)

 A total of 16 Corona Deaths had been reported un the country today (26) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,346 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS)


.

Accordingly 08 males and 08 females  had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has announced .

Out of the deceased 12 were over 60 years of age and 04 were belonged to 30-60 year age group.

927 Corona Positives Had Been Reported aToday (26)

 Another 927 Corona Positives had  been reported in the country today (26) increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 604,581 according to Epidemiology Unit .


There were 05 Foreign arrivals among  those who had tested positive for Corona virus .At the moment 12,454 Corona positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

No More Power Cuts Until Thursday -Electricity Board

 There will be no more  power cuts(27) implemented Island Wide  until this Thursday (27)due tio the sufficient amount of fuel including Diesel supplied by the Ceylon petroleum ciroporation according to  the Ceykon Electricity Board(CEB).


The Electricity Board wil decide whether to  impose power  cuts  on this Thursday based on the available fuel supply at that time the Board authorities had stated .

Meanwhile Ceylon Petroleum Corporation had announced yesterdsy (24) that the corporation will supply a sufficient stock of fuel to the Electricity Board for the next two week period

 A total of 17 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (25) Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,330 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).


Accordingly 12 males and 05 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS jad stated.Out of the  deceased 14 were over 60 years of age and 03 were belonged to 30-60 year age group
