Sapugaskande Oil Refinery Had Re Opened After 22 Days

 The Sapugaskande Oil Refinery which had been closed for 50 days had  re-opened today (07) 22 days after it's closure  to refine a stock of crude oil received through a Crude Oil Tanker  arrived in Sri lanka  recently .


The Crude Oil tanker "Astro Sculptor" which arrived at Colombo Harbor on 30th of November had supplied Crude Oil to the Sapugaskande Refinery to refine it has been stated .The refinery had been closed in view of utilizing the expenses spending to import Crude oil to import essential items like Petrol, Diesel and Food items Government has announced ,

748 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (07)

 A total number of 748 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (07) ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives that had been reported  so far to 569,171 according to Epidemiology Unit .


At the moment 11,555 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and Under Home care system the Unit has stated ,

A Gas Cylinder Explosion Had Damaged A Caffe

 A Caffe located at Kumarathunge Road in Pohengoda ,Krulapona (Colombo District )had  been  damaged  due to a Gas Cylinder explosion occurred this evening (07) it has been reported ,


No one in the Caffe injured due to the incident according to sources ,According to the Kirulapone police the Gas cylinder  had exploded due to a gas leak caused by  removal of  the regulator .Police are investigating on the incident ,

Another 21 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (07)

 Another 21 Corona deaths had been  reported in the country today (07) ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 14,505 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).


Accordingly 11 males and 10 females had died due to Corona infection DGHS has stated ,Out of the deceased 16 were over 60 years of age and 05 were belonged to 30-59 age group it has been revealed .

The Remains Of The Sri Lankan Brutally Killed In Pakistan Brought Back To Sri Lanka

 The remains of the Sri Lankan General Manager attached to the garment factory at Sealcot in Pakistan who was brutally killed after harassing  ,had nbrought back to Sri Lanka today (06) from Pakistan .


The deceased Diyawadanage Don Nandasiri Priyantha Kumarage was brutally killed and burnt by a group of Pakistani's over removing posters related to Islam religion last week.The remains of the deceased had brought back to Sri Lanka from Lahore ,Pakistan .

The post mortem of the deceased was  conducted at the Nrgamabo District Hospital today (06)
