Six persons including Four School Children had died after the ferry they have in Capsized in Kinniya ,Trincomalee early this morning (23).
Seventeen persons including School Children were there in the ferry at the time of this incident and Navy rescue teams had saved the lives of 11 of the drowned passengers of the ferry with minor injuries The injured were admitted to Kinniya Hospital for treatment ,
Navy and Police diving teams had engaged in rescue operations.
A Total of 740 Corona positives had been reported today (23) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 558,860 according to Epidemiology Unit .
