Daily Requirement Of Oxygen In Hospitals Exceeds The Daily Oxygen Production In The Country -Health Ministry

The daily requirement of Oxygen in local Hospitals has exceeded the daily Oxygen production in the country due to the surge of Corona cases according to Ministry Of Health ,As the total number of oxygen dependent Corona positives that are being treated at Government and private hospitals are on the increase the daily requirement of oxygen too is being increased the Ministry has stated ,

Accordingly the daily requirement of Oxygen in hospitals has exceeded the daily oxygen production in the country which is 80 tons it has been revealed ,Authorities had taken steps to import the required amount of Oxygen from Indi and Singapore the Ministry officials had stated ,

Meanwhile Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella had instructed the Health Ministry Officials to monitor the daily requirement of Oxygen in hospitals and take an action to fulfill the need ,

Another 3828 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (01)

Due to the reduction of Rapid Antigen Tests performed in hospitals the total number of Corona Positives that had been reported today (01) was less then yesterday ,with 3828 cases according to t he Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country had been increased to 444,130 the Epidemiology Unit has stated ,At the moment 58,514 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers ,

Another 215 Corona Deaths Reported Today (01)

The Director General Of Health Services Dr Asela Gunawardane had confirmed another 215 Corona deaths for today (01) ,increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 9400 .

Accordingly 115 males and 100 females had died today due to corona infection .Out of the deceased 167 were over 60 years of age and 46 were belonged to the 30-60 age group it has been revealed ,Another 02 of the deceased were under 30 years of age .
