Majority Of The Corona Positives Re[ported Yesterday (29) Were From Colombo District

 The majority of the Corona Positives identified yesterday (29) were from Colombo District according to Health Ministry ,Accordingly 348 Corona positives had been reported from Colombo District yesterday and the majority of them which is 45 positives were found from Narahenpita area and 30 positives each were reported from Awissawella and Meegoda areas .

Corona Positives were  identified from all the 25 districts in the island yesterday and over 100 Corona positives were identified from 04 districts it has been revealed , 

1709 Corona Positives Had Been Reported. today(29)

 A total of 1709 Corona positives had been reported today (29) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 257,225 according to the National Covod -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 30,769 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .

45 Corona Deaths' Reported Today (29)

 Another 45 Corona deaths had been reported today (29) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 3030 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center ,

Accordingly 24 females and 21 males had died due to Covid Pneumonia and complications occurred as a result of the non communicable diseases they have suffered from caused by corona infection ,Out of these deaths 32 were of the age over 60 years it has been revealed ,

1850 Coroma Positives Had Been Reported Today (28)

 Another 1850 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (28) increasing the total number of. corona positives reported so far to 255,508 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 31,315 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers it had been reported .

Meanwhile 100 foreign arrivals had been tested positive for Corona virus yesterday (27) it has been revealed. .

Authorities Had Reduced The Daily PCR Tests -Medical Lab Technologists Association

 Authorities are again reduced the PCR Tests performs daily and attempting to show that the Corona pandamic is under control claims the president of the Medical Laboratory Technologists Association Ravi Kumudesh .

According to Kumudesh during last week Medical laboratories in the country had only  performed 55,000 PCR Tests  in six days ,At the time country needs to perform atleast 50,000 PCR Tests daily due to the spreading of new Corona variants including Delta variant .

This is the repeat of the drama shown by authorities last March when they had reduced the number of PCR Tests performed at the peak of Corona cases then and shown the pandamic was under control   Kumudesh had stated .

At the moment less then 20,000 PCR Tests are being  performed Daily he has further said .
