Two Army soldiers had died and four others had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Army truck they have travelled had fallen from the Chenkulady Black bridge at Batticaloa  yesterday (25) according to Police ,

The injured had been admitted to Batticaloa Teaching Hospitla for treatment ,The incident has  occurred whilst the Truck was travelling from Karadiyannaru to Chenkulady area of Chenkulady -Badulla road as a result of the high speed it has been revealed ,

48 Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (25)

 A total of 48 Corona deaths had been reported in the country yesterday (25) ,increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 2862 according to the Ministry Of Health .

Accordingly 26 males and 22 females had died due to the Covid Pneumonia and complications of non communicable diseases they have suffered from as a result of the Corona infection it has been revealed ,

Out of the deceased 37 were over 60 years old ,

1874 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (25)

 Another 1874  Corona positives had been reported in the Country yesterday (25),increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country to 249,926 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 32,444 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers it has been reported ,

Five Areas In Three Districts And A Police Division Had Been Isolated

Five areas attached to Three districts and a Police Division had been isolated since  6 a.m this morning (26) due to the rise of Corona cases according to the Health authorities .

Accordingly Hinguloya and Mahawatte areas in Mawanella polic division belongs to Kegalle District ,Densworth watte at Dehiowita Police Division ,Halamada area in Kegalle Police division and Nahena area at Kiribathgoda Police division in Gamapaha District had  been isolated since this morning it has been revealed ,

 A total of 1917 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (24) increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 248,050 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center ,

76 Prison Inmates Att Mahara Prison Had Commenced A Hunger Strike -

 Around 76 Prison inmates attached to Mahara Prison who had been sentenced to death  had commenced a continuous  hunger strike since this noon (24) demanding to convert their Death sentence to life imprisonment since the date they have sentenced ,

Meanwhile around 20 Prison  inmates attached to Welikada prison in Colombo had also launched a protest on a roof of one of the prison buildings  demanding the same it has been reported ,

According to the present law a Prisoner who had been sentenced to death needs to await few years to convert their sentence  to a life imprisonment ..
