Authorities. To Lift Islandwide Travel Restrictions Although Daily Corona Cases Are Still Over 2000

 As no positive results had been achieved through the islandwide travel restrictions imposed by the authorities since 21st of May as a result of not implementing them strictly ,Government has decided to lift the restrictions on 4 a.m this Monday (21) for a period of two days it has been announced .


The restrictions will be re imposed again  from 10 p.m  this Wednesday (23) until 4 a.m next Friday (25) the head of the National Covid -19 Prevention Center General Shavendra De Silva has stated .

Gatherings including parties and functions will not be allowed to held during this period he has stressed .

2327 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (18)

 A total of 2327 Corona Positives had been reported yesterday !18) ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 235,413 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .


Out of the total number of Corona Positives reported yesterday (18)  majority which is 493 positives had been reported from Colombo District .41 of the Reported cases in Colombo district were from Dehiwala area .

There were 22 foreign arrivals amongst the Corona positives reported yesterday .

At the moment 35,729 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers it had been revealed .



Another 55 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Yesterday (18)

 Another 55 Corona deaths had been reported in the country yesterday (18) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 2480 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 32. Males and 23 females had died due to the Covid pneumonia and complications occurred as a result of the non communicable diseases they have suffered from due to the Corona infection it has been revealed .
