Health Ministry To Refer Corona Positives To Nearby Medical Centers /Intermediate Treatment Centers

The Ministry's Of Health has yesterday (17) decided to refer the identified Corona positives to the nearest medical center or an intermediate Treatment center near the house of the positives as the treatment capacity of hospitals is overflowing .

This decision has been taken during the National Covid committee meeting held last morning (17) at the Health Ministry auditorium ,After considering the mental pressure face by the family members of Corona positives the Ministry has stated .

Meanwhile Ministry is still preparing the health guidelines to treat non symptomatic corona positives at their homes Health ministry Pavithra Wanniarachchi has told .

2478 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (18)

A total of 2478 Corona Positives had been reported today (18) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 147,720 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 25,560 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals and treatment centers .

19 Corona Deaths Were Reported Today (17)

A total of 19 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (17) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 981 according to the National Cobid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 14 males and 05 females resided in outstation areas and Colombo district had died due to Covid pneumonia and complications of the non communicable diseases they had suffered from the center has stated.

The deceased were of the ages 42 -89 years it has been revealed .

2433 Corona Positives Reported Today (17)

Another 2433 Corona positives had been reported today (17) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 145,202 According to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 24,612 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals at the moment .Meanwhile 2212 Corona Positives had been reported yesterday (16).

21 Corona. Deaths Had Been Reported Today (16)

Another 21 Corona deaths had been reported In the country today (16) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 962 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 16 males and 05 females mainly resided in outstation areas like imaduwaa,Bulathsinghala and Badulla areas had died due to Covid pneumonia and complications related to non communicable diseases they had suffered from it had been revealed .

The deceased were of the ages 37-83 years it has been revealed .

20 Corona deaths had been reported in the country yesterday !15).
