Three Females Were Killed Due To The Three Wheeler -Lorry Collision

 Three females were killed  And the Three wheeler driver had been critically injured after a Lorry had toppled over the Three wh eeler they were travelling in at Lokuwanguwa area in Haggala,Nuwara Eliya last noon (01)according to Police .

Accordingly

three females travelled in a Three wheeler of the ages 20,51,and 52 years were killed on the spot when the lorry came behind the three wheeler toppled over the Three wheeler. The critically injured Three wheeler driver had been admitted to Nuwara Eliya hospital for treatment .

The Lorry driver who was responsible for the incident had fled away from the scene and the Nuwara Eliya police had arrested  the Lorry assistant over the incident .Nuwara Eliya police are conducting  an investigations over the incident .

Two Corona Deaths Reported Today (31)

 Another 02 Corona deaths had been reported today (31)increasing the total number of Corona deaths  reported so far in the country to 568 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly a 85 year old female resided at Wattala area and a 74 year old Male resided in Eravur ,Batticaloa had died due to Covid Pneumonia and complications of non communicable diseases they have suffered from.as a result of Corona infection .

244 Corona Positives Reported Today (31)

 A total of 244 Corona positives had been reported today (31)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 92,706 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly at the moment  2887 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers .

Meanwhile Authorities have  only  given  a partial report on Corona positives reported yesterday (30)saying 102 persons had been tested positive for  Corona virus during the day .

The details of the  total number of "PCR "tests performs per day in the country are not being published these days by the health authorities according to sources .

24 Sri Lankan Tamills Arrived in Sri Lanka After Being Expelled From Germany and Switzerland

 A plane carrying 24 Sri Lankan Tamils expelled from.Germany and Switzerland due to staying in those countries illegally by violating immigration and emigration laws ,Had arrived at Katunayake ,Bandsranayake International Airport today (31).

The group of  Sri Lankan Tamils including 23 males  and a female were escorted by  Immigration and emigration officers and security personal  Of Germany and Switzerland it has been reported 

.These Sri Lankans had been arrested by security forces over illegaly staying  in Germany and Switzerland and after producing them before the court judge had ordered the authorities to expell them .Out of the 24 Sri lankan Tamils arrived at Katunayake Airport 20 were from Germany and 04 from Switzerland  .

A Lorry Driver And His Assistant Had Been Hospitalized Due To An Accident In Passara

 A Lorry driver and his assistant had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Lorry they were travelling in had slipped away from the Road and fallen down    a 100 feet  Deep precipice At Passara area last evening (30) it has been reported  

Accordingly the critically injured driver and his  assistant had been admitted to the Badulla General hospital for treatment .Both the injured were under the heavy nfluence of liquor when they had  met with this accident according to the Passara police .

The Lorry was travelling from Passsra to Badulla at the time of this incident .Passara police are conducting an investigations on the incident .
