Although Health Authorities have earlier predicted that Sri Lankans above 60 years old will be vaccinated with Anti Corona vaccines during first week of March ,the State Minister of Pandamics and Covid prevention Dr Sudarshani fernandopulle has today (08)stated that every Sri Lankan citizen of the age group 30-60 will be vaccinated with Corona vaccine in first week of March.

However the state Minister didn't mention regarding the vaccines use for this purpoSe.

Meanwhile Ministry of Education has today stated that all teachers in Local schoo9

ls will be vaccinated with Anti Corona vaccines either during end of this month else first week of March .Also Parliamentary officials too had stated that there's a plan to vaccinate Parliament staff against corona .

Although Government had stated it will receive the ordered 8 million .doses of "Covishield "vaccine from India soon It's not clear whether Sri Lanka will receive the whole stock of Vaccine doses imported from India .

740 Corona Positives Recovered And Discharged From Hospitals Today (08)

Another 740 Corona Positives had been discharged from Hospitals and Treatment centers today (08) and 807 Corona positives had been discharged yesterday (07)after full recovery according to Ministry of Health .

Accordingly 64,141 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals and treatment centers upto now .

Nine Corona Deaths Reported Today (08)

A total of 09 Corona deaths had been reported today (08)in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 365 According to Ministry Of Health.

Accordingly 06 Males and 03 females resided at Colombo -15,Anuradhapura ,Kurunagala ,Negambo Colombo -12,Gurudeniya ,kayts ,Horana and Mawanalla areas had died due to the complications of Non Comminicskbe diseases they have suffered from caused by Corona infection .

The deceased were of the ages 95,61,50 70,61,45,42 ,73 and 76 years it had been revealed .

Another 878 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (08)

Another 878 Corona positives had. Been reported. Today (08/,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 70,235 According to National Covid ,-19 Prevention Center

Accordingly all these Corona positives reported today were contacts of the previous Corona positives reported from Paliyagoda Corona Cluster the Center has stated .

At the moment 5729 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .

Eight Persons Including Bridegroom. At A Wedding In Morawaka Area Tested Positive For Corona Virus

Eight persons attended a Wedding Reception held at Pitabaddara,Morawaka area including the Bridegroom had been tested positive for the Corona virus during the "PCR "Tests Petforned on them according to sources.

Accordingly These Tests were carried out last Wednesday (03)."PCR "Tests were carried out on the guests attended the Wedding held at a Reception hall in Morawaka area after four persons at the Reception hall had tested positive for the virus
