Two Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (23)

 A total of 02 Corona deaths reported yesterday (23)raising the total number of Corona positives reported in the country to 280 according to Ministry of Health .

Accordingly a 69 year old male resident of Mount Lavinia has died due to the Covid pneumonia and Kidney infection caused by Corona infection and a 82 year old female resident of Ranala area has died due to the Kidney infection caused by Corona infection .

Both deaths occurred at Homagama Base Hospital .

A Village In Anuradhapura District Had Been Isolated Yesterday (23)

 A Rural Devolopment Officer (Grama Seva Niladari )Division at Devanam piyathissapura in Anuradhapura District had been isolated since last noon (23) due to the surge of Corona cases health authorities had announced. 

Ten Corona positives had been identified in the Division during the "PCR 'tests carried out on them and all these positives are employees attached to Anuradhapura Municipal Council and their relatives authorities have revealed .

Earlier two schools in the area 

Had been closed down on last Thursday due to the surge of Corona cases .

Corona Positive Health Minister Had Been Sent Sent To A Hotel Quarantine Center In Hikkaduwa

 Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi who had been tested positive for Corona virus had been sent to an intermediate Hotel quarantine center at Hikkaduwa yesterday (23? for treatment .

She had been tested positive for the virus during both Rapid Antigen  and "PCR 'tests performed on her it has been revealed .She is the fifth Parliamentarian that had been tested positive for Corona virus .

600,000 Oxford -AstraZeneca Vaccines To Be Arrived In Sri Lanka This Wednesday (27)-President

 Sri Lanka will be receiving   600,000 Vials of Oxford -Astazeneca Anti Corona Vaccines by this Wednesday (27) from India for emergency use according to President Gotabaya Rajapskshe .

President has announced this yesterday (22).Earlier National Drug Authority of  Sri Lanka has given approval for the use  of Oxford -Astazeneca Anti Corona vaccines in the country  for  emergency situations.

Meanwhile Indian High Commission in Colombo too has announced  yesterday that the Indian  authorities will take  every step to airlift the stock of Oxford vaccines made in India to Sri Lanka soon .

The vaccine is scheduled to be given for healthcare workers and security personal under the first phase of Vaccination against Corona virus in the country as in other countries .Afterwards authorities are planning  to give the vaccine to risk groups.

Meanwhile President Gotabaya Rajapskshe had recently requested Both India and China to provide Anti Corona virus vaccines produced by them for the use in the country due to the surge of Corona cases .Professor Channa Jayasumana  who had recently praise Ayurveda product "Sudarshani "Syrup and " A herbal syrup made by a non Ayurveda person known as "Dhammika Syrup for the use of Corona treatment ,Has told yesterday that Sri Lanka will be receiving Anti Corona vaccines from China and Russia as well in future .
