All Rounder Moeen Ali Of The England Cricket Squad Arrived In Sri Lanka ,Tested Positive For Corona Virus

All rounder Moeen Ali of the England's National Cricket squad which arrived at Sri Lanka for a Test match series last Sunday had been tested positive for Corona Virus according to Cricket officials . The Cricketer was tested positive for Corona virus through the "PCR " test performed on him on his arrival at the Mattala International Airport in Hambnathota last Sunday (03).

After identifying his Corona status Moeen Ali had been sent to a Quarantine Center in Galle to isolate himself for a 10 day period and another English bowler Chris Woakes who was identified as the close contact of Ali was asked to self quarantine .The England National Cricket Squad had arrived in Sri Lanka last Sunday and 14 of the players in the side had been tested negative for corona virus during the Rapid Antigen Test carried out on them according to reports .However England Cricket authorities had confirmed that the whole England Cricket squad had been tested negative for corona virus through the testes conducted before their departure from England .

468 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (04)

A total of 468 Corona positives had been reported yesterday(04) in the island through the 10,774 "PCR " tests performed according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly the total number of Corona cases reported in the country had been increased to 45,242 the Center ha stated .All the Corona positives that have been reported yesterday were contacts of the previous Corona Positives reported from Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona Clusters it has been announced .41,498 Corona positives had been reported so far from these clusters including Minuwangoda Brandix cluster .

A majority of these positives reported yesterday had been reported from Colombo District (183) and out out of them 83 were reported from Mattakkuliya area .

At the moment 7210 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals and Treatment centers .

"PCR" And Rapid Antigen Tests To Be Performed On Those Not Wearing Masks From Today (05)

"PCR " and Rapid Antigen Tests will be conducted along with the legal action against those who are not wearing Masks and distance themselves with others in the community according to Police Department .

Around 74 persons had been arrested over not wearing masks in public places during last 24 hours and 2172 persons had been arrested on the same offence from 30 th of October until now the Department has stated .

Legal action is scheduled to be taken against them .

Two Roads In Modara Police Division Had Been Isolated

Saint Andrews Road and Saint Andrews upper and lower Road at Modara Police Division had been isolated since 5 a.m this morning (05)according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

The isolation has been implemented due to the surge of Corona cases in these Roads it had been revealed .

Residents at Mailgawatte National Housing Scheme had conducted a protest in front of the housing scheme on last Sunday against not providing them financial support during 80 day isolation period ,They have demanded the authorities to lift the isolation .,So they can go to work and earn it has been reported ,Soon after this protest National Covid-19 Prevention Center had announced the lifting of the isolation .

In Awissawella area too authorities had lifted the isolation although there's a surge in the Corona cases .
