A 23 Year Old Trained Pilot Was Killed After An Aircraft Piloted By Him Had Crashed Landed

 A 23 year old trainee pilot had been killed after the PT-6 Pilot Trainee Aircraft belonging to the Sri Lanka Air force piloted by him   which tookoff from the Sri Lanka Airforce pilot training school at Chinabay in Trincomalee, had crashed landed at Suriyapura in Kanthale last evening  (15).

Aircraft 23 year old K,R Amarakoon had succumbed to  his injuries after admission to Trincomalee Base Hospital with serious injuries  

The Aircraft had gone missing from Airforce radar soon after taking off from China bay Sri Lanka Airforce had announced .The cause of the incident  has not yet been revealed .

A Huge Fire Erupted At Supreme Court Complrx Had Doused

 Nine fire trucks belonging to the Fire services department had doused a huge fire that had been  erupted in the  legal items store attached to the  lower Section of the Supreme Court Complrx  at Hulftsforf ,Colombo last evening (15) .

The fire which released a heavy smoke to the air  lasted ew hours and  had not damage  the valuable legal documents and Record room at the Supreme Court Complrx  it has been announced .

Both Attorney General Dappula De Livera and Deputy Inspector General of Police Police Media Spokesman Ajith Rohana had visited the site soon after the incident .

Three police teams attached  to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)had been appointed to the probe on the fire.

Two Villages Had Been Isolated Since This Evening (15)

 Thotawatte village in Panadura area (Colombo )and Alupotha village in Badalkumbura ,Monaragala district had been isolated with immediate effect since this evening (15)due to the spread of Corona virus the National Covid -19 Prevention Center has announced .

This step has been taken after identifying few corona positives from those areas .

Two Persons Including A Police Constable Had Been Critically Injured Due To A Motorcycle Collision

 Two Motorcyclists including a Police Constable had been critically  injured and hospitalized  due to a collision of two motorcycles at Srinandanapura in Thamamalwila attached to Wellawaya-Thsnsmslwila road yesterday (14).

The two critically Injured Motorcyclists who are residents of Wellawaya area had been admitted to Thamamalwila hospital for treatment and later transferred to Hambanthota Base Hospital for further treatment .

Postal Department Introduced A Cash On Delivery Service For Postal Parcels

 Postal Department has introduced a "Cash on Delivery "system to  delivering Postal  Parcels to doorstep of the receiver due to the current pandamic  according to Post Master General  Ranjith Ariyarathne .

Accordingly Sender of a postal parcel only need to pay the postal charges of the parcel and the receiver need to pay the transport charges  on receipt  he has  stated .
