All Schools In Galle District Had Been Closed Down

All 26 Schools in the southern Provincial Education Division have been closed down until further notice due to the surge of Corona infections in Galle District according to Souhtern Province Governor willy Gamage.

Many corona Positives were reported in.Galle District and five villages in the district had been isolated due to this situation .

370. corona Positives Been

Another 370 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals and treatment centers today (06)after full recovery according to my Covid prevention center.

Accordingly 20,460 Corona positivrs had been discharged from Hospitals so far after full recovery. .

Three Corona Deaths Reported Today (06)

Another 03 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (06)increasing the total number of Corona deaths in the country to 140 according to Health Authorities .

Accordingly three males of the ages 98,80 and 71 years and resided in Kotte Kahathuduwa and Maggona areas had died due to the complications of Corona infection the Authorities have stated .

All of them have died whilst receiving treatment at Homagama Base Hospital.

648 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (06)

A total of 648 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (06)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far from here to 27,877 according to Epidemeology Unit .

All the positives reported today were close contacts of Paliyagoda Fish market cluster and Prisons Corona cluster the unit has stated .So far the number of Corona positives reported from Paliyagoda and Minuwangoda Corona clusters were 24,322 it has been revealed .

At the moment 7277 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .

Five Areas In Galle Had Been Isolated Since Yesterday (05)

Five Rural Development Officer (Grama Seva niladari wasam) at. Galle MOH area had been isolated since yesterday (05)due to the surge in Corona cases according to Health Authorities .

Accordingly Thalapitiya ,Aththiligoda ,North Dedduwa ,Milidduwa and makuluwa Areas had been isolated .

Around 20.coroma Positives had been reported from these areas last Friday (04)and a large number of close contacts of these positives were undergone "PCR "tests and after receiving results of these tests a decision will be taken whether to remove the isolation in the areas .
