Travel.Restrictions Imposed

 Due to the surge of Corona infections in Western province authorities had taken steps last night (11)to ban anyone from leaving the province to other provinces with immediate effect 


This travel ban will enforce until midnight next Sunday (15) under the instructions of President Gotabaya Rajapskshe according to head of  National Covid -19 Prevention center Army Commander General Shavendre De Silva .

Under this new restriction Long distance Bus and train services from and to Colombo will be suspended until midnight next Sunday .

625 Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (11)

 A total of 625 Corona positives had been reported in the island yesterday (11)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 15,350 according to the Epidemeology Unit.

The number of Corona Positives belonging to the Minuwangoda Brandix and Paliyagoda Fish Market corona clusters had been increased to 11,858 .

At the moment 5121 Corona Positives are being treated at Government hospitals .

46 th Corona Death Reported In The Island

 The 46 th Corona Death in the Country has been reported last night (11)as  a. 63 year old person who had suffered from Leucamia  has died due to the complications of the disease and respiratory system as a result of Corona virus infection whilst receiving treatment at Apeksha Hospital In Maharagama .


The deceased was a resident of Imbulgoda area in Gampaha District ..

He was identified as a Corona positive due to the PCR "Test performed on him during the post mortem .

This was the fifth Corona death reported during yesterday .
