Six Police Officers At Borella Police Station Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Six Police Officers Attached To Borella police station  had been tested positive for Corona Virus yesterday (31) according to the police .


All the police officers attached to the police station are being self quarantined and they were undergone 'PCR " Tests .

Five Persons Attached Yo Media Ministry And Information Dept Tested Positive For Corona Virus Yesterday (31)

 An Executive Grade officer attached to The Ministry Of Media and four others two attached to the Ministry and another two attached to Government Information Department nearby ,had been tested positive for Corona virus  


All  close contacts of these positives are being self quarantined it has been reported.

Quarantine Police Curfew In Western. province Has Been Extended U til 09th Of November

 The Quarantine Police Curfew imposed in. Western Province since 29th of October will not be lifted at 5 a.m tomorrow morning (02)as. Planned earlier and the curfew has been extended until 5 a.m on 09th of November according to the head of the National Covid -19 Prevention Center General Shavendre Silva .


Police Curfew will be also imposed in Ehaliyagoda Police Division in Ratnapira District ,Kurunagala Urban Council area and Kuliyapitiya Police Division from 5 a.m tomorrow (02) until 5 a m on 09th of November to prevent the spreading of Corona virus he has stated .

Meanwhile President Gotabaya Rajapskshe had today advised the police to prevent issuing Curfew passes to public During the curfew and to impose travel. Restrictions among districts in Western province. During the  curfew period .

However  those who  are working in essential services can use their office identity cards as curfew passes a cording to officials .

An Employee Attached To Health Ministry Had Been Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 An Employee attached to "EC-02 branch of the Ministry of Health had been tested positive for Corona virus last Friday (30)it and hospitalized afterwards it has been. Reported .


Due to this the Branch where the employees is attached to had been temporarily closed down and all the close contacts of the Positive are being self quarantined it had been revealed .

However Ministry officials are planning to conduct work of the closed branch in another place and duties of other sections in the Ministry will continue as usual a Ministry official  has stated .

239 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (31)

 A total of 239 Corona Positives had been identified yesterday(31) in the  island  through 11;999 "PCR "tests conducted according to Epidemeology Unit .


The majority of these Positives  which is 86 had been reported from Colombo District ,Whilst 21  were reported from Gampaha District  and 20 were reported from Kalutara District 

59 of the positives had been reported from quarantine centers .

A total of 10;623 Corona positives. had been reported so far in the island and 6244  Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals at present .

633 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (30)

 A total of 633 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (30)in the island ,increasing the total number of Corons positives reported in the country to 10,421 according to Epidemeology Unit .


Accordingly majority of these positives which is 264  had been reported from Gampaha District and belonging to Minuwangoda Brsndix and Paliyagoda fish market clusters the unit has stated .There were some positives without a knowing source it had been revealed .

At the moment 6005 Corona Positives are being treated at government hospitals .

20 th Corona Death Had Been Reported Today (31)

 A 54 year old female who has died yesterday (30)at Colombo National Hospital due to Complications of Non communicable diseases she had suffered ,had been identified as a Corona positive today (31)through the "PCR "test  performed on her.


This is the 20 th Corona death reported from Sri Lanka so far and the 06 th Corona death reported in the island during last one and half week period according to Health Ministry. 

The deceased who was a resident of Colombo -12  had been admitted to Colombo National Hospital due to diabetes and other non communicable diseases she had suffered with  according to hospital sources.
