Paliyagoda Fish Market Had Been Temporarily Closed Down After 49 Persons Related To The Market Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Paliyagoda Fish Market in Colombo had been closed down temporarily yesterday (21)after 49 persons related to the market mainly fish merchants had been tested positive for Corona virus through the "PCR"tests performed on them last Monday (19).


"PCR "'tests were performed on 105 persons related to the fish market and  out of them 49  were tested positive for virus it has been revealed .All the positives had been hospitalized for treatment .

Six Villages In Kalutara District Had Been Locked Down Since Yesterday ((21)

 Six villages belonging to the Agalawatte and Palindanuwara Divisional secretariats at Kalutara District  had been locked down since   yesterday (21) until further notice due to the spreading of Corona virus in these areas according to Health circlies .


Accordingly Agalawatte ,Gorakgama,,Beragama ,,Dapiligoda ,Kakulandsra North belonging to Agalawatte Divisional Secretariet and Bellana Of Palindanuwara Divisional Secretariet had been locked down since yesterday .

manning Market Complex To Be Temporarily Shut Down

 Manning Market Complex in Pettah ,Colombo had been closed down for a five day period from tomorrow(22) until 5 a.m on next Monday (26) to avoid Corona spread according to the Traders of the Complex .




This step has been taken accordance  to the advise of Police and Manning Town Traders union had requested all traders and public to avoid visiting the Complex  these days .

14 trade stalls of the Manning Market complex had been temporarily closed down few days back after detecting a Corona virus positive there .

Four Persons At A Food Store In Pettah Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Fout persons attached to a Food Store at 04 th cross street in Pettah (Colombo )had been tested positive for Corona virus on Momday (19).


Due to this 35 workers attached to the  food store had been sent to quarantine centers for quarantine.  .

"PCR "tests had been carried out on these employees as a contact of a Brsndix Corona cluster is working there it has been revealed .

SP Attached. To Colombo Fort Police Station Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 A Superintendent  of Police (SP) attached to the Special Investigations Unit of the Colombo Fort police station had been tested positive for Corona virus today (20) according to sources .

The SP had been hospitalized and s group of Police officers attached to Fort police station had been sent to a quarantine Center for quarantine .

Tracing of contacts of the SP is underway it had been revealed
