Two Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (28)

Two Corona positives had been
discharged from government hospitals today (28) after full recocety according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals after full recocery had risen to 3210 the unit has stated.

At the moment 139 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals. 

Two Persons Were Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

Two persons were killed due to a Wild
Elephant attack at Devagiriya area in Galgamuwa yesterday (27)it has been reported.

The deceased who were 56 and 40 year old residents of Kithalawa and GLalnawa areas were killed due to the Elephant attack whilst returning home after work .

  

Popular Sri Lankan Comic /Stage Actor Tennyson Coorey Has Passed Away

Sri lanka's Popular comic and ģ Drama Actor Tennyson Coorey has passed away today (28)whilst receiving treatment for an illness at Colombo National  Hospital.

The 68 year old actor who had acted over 64 Sri Lankan films had admitted to Colombo National Hospital two days back  .

His funeral arrangements to be   announced later.

Eleven Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (27)

Eleven Corona Positives Had been
reported in the country yesterday (27),increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 3360 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly 08 Arrivals from Chennai, India ,02 arrivals from Bangladesh and an  arrival from United Arab Emirates had tested positive for Corona virus.  

A Large Stock Of Illegally Imported Turmerich Recovered From Pesalai

Pesalai Police have taken into custody
1024 Kilos and 245 Grammes  of TurmerIc illegally smuggled to Sri Lanka via sea route ,in a Lorry parked at Periyakersal area in Pesalai (Mannar District ) today (27).

Police have recovered the stock of  Turmeric ,which is in Short supply in the country at present,whilst  stored in 29 polythene bags in the Lorry  according to Police .

Police had witnessed a suspicious Lorry parked at Periyakersal area and recovered the stock of Turmeric from it during inspection according to reports .

No one  had been arrested regarding the incident so far and Pesalai Police are investigating over the incident.
