Sri Lanka Navy Had Arrested Two Persons Along With 818 Kilo Grammes Of TurmerIc

• Sri Lanka Navy had today (16) taken in
  
  to custody two persons along with 818 Kilo Grammes of TurmerIc which part of it attempted to smuggle   in to the country through sea route.

Accordingly Sri Lanka Navy had arrested two suspects alomg with 510 Kilo Grammes of Turmetic stored in 12 nags   whilst transporting it through Dinghy Boat in sea area of North Mannar during a search operation carried out 

Meanwhile during another search operation Navy officers had recovered a stock of 308 Kilo Grammes of Turmetic stored in another 05 bags and left at  the  Beech.

Five Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (16)

A total of 05 Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals today  (16)after full recovery according to the Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals so far had risen to 3271.

Three Persons Killed Due To Three Wheeler -Lorry Collision

Three Persons were killed due to a

Three Wheeler -Lorry collision at Divurumpitiya area on Ratnapura -Awissawella main road today (16)it has been reported.

The critically injured three persons including the three wheeler driver and two Passangers travelled in the Three Wheeler  ran   from Awissawella to Ranaputa had succumbed to their injured on admission to Awissawella Base Hospital.


The incident occurred when the Lorry collided with the rare part of the Three wheeler. Awissawella police have arrested the Lorry driver regarding the incident and he  is due to be produced before the court .

Nine Corona Positives Had Been Rwpordx Yesterday (15)

A total of 09 Corona positives had been

reported yesterday (15)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 3271 according to Epidemeolgy Unit .

Accordingly All Corona positives reported yesterday were foreign arrivals and among first three positives announced there were 02 arrivals from United Arab Emirates and 01 arrival from Kuwait. However the identity of the last six corona positives had not given according to reports.

At the moment 237 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals. 

A total of 10 female  Garment workers had been injured and hospitalized this morning (15)afer tgev

Eleven Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From.Hospitals Today (15)

A total of 11 Corona positives had been discharged from three government  hospitals today  (15)after full recovery

,increasing the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals so far to 3016 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly these Corona positives had been discharged from Infectious Diseases Hospital. at Angoda ,Welikanda Base Hospital and Iranawila Hospital.

At the moment 244 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals.
