One Corona Positive Reported Today (02) So Far -No Positivea Reported Yesterday : Epidemeology Unit

An arrival From United Arab Emirates

had tested positive for Corona virus today  (02), increasing the total number of Corona positives reported   in the country to 2816 according to Epidemeology Unit.

However according to the  1600 "PCR "tests performed yesterday (01)to identify corona positives no Corona positives has  been reported that day the Unit has stated .

Meanwhile Health professionals in the country are being  urged to health authorities to increase the number of "PCR "tests perform in the country daily.  

Seventy Five Crorona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (02)

Another 75 Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals this morning  (02)after full recovery ,increasing the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals so far to 2514 according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly 291 Coroma positives are being treated at Government Hospitals at present the Unit has stated.

At present the recocery rate of Corona positives in the counter is 89.31 percent.

Another 332 Sri Lankans From Dubai And 41 From England Stranded Due To Corona Pandamic Brought Back To Sri Lanka

A total of 332 Sri Lankans stranded at

Dubai, United Arab Emirates and 41 Sri Lankans stranded at England due to the Corona pandamic ,had been brought back to Sri Lanka this morning  (02)through two flights according to Katunayake International Airport authorities.

Accordingly 332 Sri Lankans stranded  at Dubai including four children  had arrived from  Emirates Flight and another 41 Sri Lankans employed and studying in England had arrived from Heathrow International Airport in London, England .

Meanwhile 13 Foreign navel men had arrived from Doha ,Qatar from another flight this morning to work in a Merchant Ship here .

"PCR "tests were petformed foe All these Passangers and later they were sent to the Quarantine Centers for quarantine. 

A New Method Of Transporting Drugs To Prison Has Been Revealed -A Cat Was Captured Near The Welikada Prison Whilst Transporting Heroin

A Cat with a contraband tied  around

his neck had been captured by the  prison officers  yesterday (01)near the Welikada Prison whilst  carrying 7 Grammes of Heroin,  02 phone sim cards and 02 memory cards inside a small pouch tied to his  contraband it has been reported.

The Cat was captured accordance to the information provided by the  prison Intelligence officials.

Due to the Corona pandamic threat outsiders  are not allowed to visit prison inmates of all prisons in the country .As a result drug traffickers are using trained  animals to transport drugs at present according to Police .
