A Tense Situation Occured Yesterday (24) After A Coroma Positive At IDH Hospital Fled Away From The Hospital -Later He Was Caught At National Hospital

A tense situation had Occured

Yesterday (24) as a Corona positive Drug addict treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Angoda had fled away from the Hospital around 2 am in the morning due to a security lapse .

The Corona positive first arrived at main street in Pettah (Colombo ) from a public transport service and then from there went to the Crowded OPD section of the National Hospital in Colombo by a Three Wheeler it has been revealed.

Then he was caught by two employees attached to the National Hospital whilst walking towards the canteen as his image along with whereabouts had been shared through the media by the police at that time .

The two employees then informed on the patient to the Hospital authorities and the authorities had informed the Police on this afterwards.

Two nurses with Corona protective kits went to the patient who was isolated from other patients there and gave him the protective suit for the patient to wear according to sources.

Then the patient who is heavily addicted to narcotics had been taken to IDH Hospital by the staff members of the Hospital.

The patient Mohommad KasIm Mohommad Kasim residing in Vallimar in Trincomalee had been sent to Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Center to rehabilitate on 12th of May under a court order and as he was tested positive for Corona virus thete sent to Welikanda Base Hospital for treatment on 09 th of July.

However as the Corona positive is suffering from various other illnesses he had been transferred to IDH Hospital on 12 th of July.

Seeurity forces along with Army intelligences officers had launched a search operation since last morning to find the positive after he had been fled away from the Hospital.

Intelligences officials are currently searching whether there's a spread of Corona virus in the community as a result of thia incident.

Meanwhile the Three Wheeler Driver who had transported the Corona positive to the National Hospital from Pettah was sent to Kandakadu Quarantine center for quarantine along with the three wheeler .

Another 09 Hour Water Cut To Be Implemented Tonight (25)In Three Colombo Divisions At A Time Of Corona Pandamic

A 09 Hour long water cut is scheduled

to be implemented in three divisions of Colombo from 8 p.m tonight (25) until 5 a.m tomorrow morning (26) due to an essential repair work of a pipe line according to the National Water Supplies And Drainage Board.

Accordingly this water cut will be implemented in Colombo -13,14 and 15 and during the cut water supply to Colombo 11 and 12 will be under low preassure .

Eleven Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (24)

A total of 11 Corona positives had been

identified yesterday (24) in the country ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 2764 according to the Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly 09 inmates attach to the Corona cluster at Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Center in Kandakadu, a close contact of the Kandakadu Cluster member and a Sri Lankan returnees from England had been tested positive for Corona virus yesterday .

At the moment 659 Corona positives are being treated in Government Hospitals.
